Hi goats, did you know I also make crochet charts? In fact, I have a free chart for you in this post! Last year I made some pixel art stickers of lips and other things in the colors of various pride flags, and now I'd like to turn them into charts. Before we get to the individual flags, though, let's start with this set of 3, 4, or 5 color hearts, which I'll be making this Saturday morning (11 AM Pacific) when I go live, over on YouTube. (I'd love to see you there!)
The hearts don't have to stay in greyscale, unless you like that monochromatic look. In fact, these are designed to be used for any pride flag that has 3, 4, or 5 stripes. I see you, lesbians with your 7 color flag, but alas: I ran out of space.
If you don't have the colors of your favorite pride flag on hand (I don't either), you could use any set of 3, 4, or 5 colors in your stash, plus a background color. Note: if you do the background in something other than white, consider adding one stitch of white or some light color in the center of the 3 and 4 color hearts, as a highlight. (The 5 color heart has its own highlight built in!) I'll probably be using the three shades of orange I considered making my Solstice ornament out of, last time!
Right, the charts! I've included a version with and without symbols, to make the shades of gray easier to distinguish.

You know, if you really want to use 6 or 7 colors, you could do what I did for the original, rainbow version of this design, and just make two:
Why do I have so many pixel art designs lying around? Well, most of them are from my Etsy shop, Thirst Pixels. If you like cute, queer, witchy pinups and don't mind a little artistic nudity, here's the shop link. I hope to add a section for those patterns to my website soon, but for now that's where you can find them.
Anyway, I hope to see you this Saturday for our first colorwork crochet along!
